<p>I&#8217;m planning to hike this path in September, and will be camping most of the way.<br />Not sure yet if I will be traveling N-S or S-N. </p>
<p>If I do wish to book a room, do you think I need to make a reservation (far) in advance? I know July and August are the busiest months, but maybe it will be difficult in September as well. I like to be as&hellip;</p>

<p>Not that I&#8217;m planning to sleep in a hammock very soon, but it does have my interest. And so I was browsing the internet a bit.<br />I see mostly these 2 brands, DD Hammock and Lesovik.</p>
<p>Any hammock (and tarp) users here who know the differences between the 2 and want to share their experience? I also noticed Lesovik is about double the price of DD Hammock.</p>

I have seen a few of those while backpacking the TMB. <br />The MT900 tent tarp. 1person (920gr) costs EUR 150, 2 person (1300gr) costs EUR 190 (In the Netherlands)</p>
<p>I have asked the TMB trekkers about their tent and I believe most think its quite okay. Just some remarks about condensation.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I agree that you can train your feet  <span class="atwho-inserted">@dont_have_one_yet</span> and I certainly do this as much as possible. But I have no mountainous and rocky terrain nearby (besides the Ardennes and Eifel). So for a thru-hike in that kind of terrain, for days on end (and with a heavy backpack), I will always choose shoes that save my feet a bit 😉 </p>

The Superior (thinnest and most flexible sole of their collection), Lone Peak and Olympus.<br />
The Olympus I used for the TMB a few weeks ago.<br />

I did buy a pair of Vivobarefoot Magna Forest ESC to see how that goes for me. But I think only for day hikes.<br />

Nice spots (we had a spot between the trees), clean facilities, a place to shelter + many outlets for loading your phone + powerbank etc. <br />The rest was okay. <p>I bought the Osprey Aura AG 65 for my backpacking trips and my planned TMB trip.<br />I want a pack that is comfortable even when it weighs a bit more and has room for all my stuff. Some stuff can be bulky, so I choose the 65ltr to be sure it would fit.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think I brought unnecessary stuff, but I still had 16,5kg on my back during the TMB 2&hellip;</p>
