    Hi all!
After backpacking the Tour du Mont Blanc a few weeks ago I was already looking for the next adventure.

I came across the Höga kustenleden, or High-Coast trail in Sweden, and that one looks promising, but there is not that much to find about it on Facebook and the internet in general. Contrary to the Kungsleden or the popular TMB 🙂 But I guess there are more beautiful hikes In Scandinavia that are not that well-known..

I have never been to Scandinavia before and I want to change that, but I realised I know very little about Norway, Sweden and Finland!

Anyone here who has hiked this trail?

    Hi Djilan,

I hiked this trail a few years ago. What do you need help with? 🙂

      Hi Vanessa,

      I’m not sure yet. 😅

Maybe if you have tips about that trail and if there are do’s or dont’s.

For example, I understood there can be a lot of mosquitoes? So I should definitely be prepared for that.

    Hi Djilan

Well I’m happy to help with any questions you come up with 🙂 Yes there were a fair few mosquitoes about but nowhere near as many as in the north, so for me it didn’t feel like a problem. This depends of course massively on personal experience though, weather conditions etc can make that easier/worse too. I suggest taking a water filter. I went when there had been very hot weather for a while and so a lot of the water sources, i.e. streams, had dried up and a few were pretty stagnant and not super nice-looking, so being able to filter the water first was reassuring.
