Hi everyone! I am looking for a ligthweight sleeping bag (or quilt?) for the summer season. Currently, super happy with my Nemo one, but during the warm months a bit overkill. Any suggestions or tips? 🙂

I hiked most parts of this trail this summer, and I can totally recommend Route 2. For me this was the nicest and most diverse section of the trail with the nice rock formations and forests. Have fun! 🙂

Hi Carry! Sorry for the late reply, but I managed to find back my “notes” from the trail. This is where I stayed (I started hiking from Les Houches)
Night 1; Camping Le Pontet
Night 2; Les Chapieux
Night 3; Not sure, but there is I believe only 1 campsite on the Italian side of the trail that can be reached – might be the same one as… Read more

So, I tried my new Gregory Jade 38 for the past 3 days in Luxemburg and I have to say; love the backpack! Very comfortable, enough space & very light whilst wearing. So thanks for all your insights & recommendations 🙂

I solo hiked the TMB 2 years ago, whilst camping mostly on campsites. I wild camped the last night near Lac Blanc and can totally recommend! You need to continue a bit more after Lac Blanc to exit the “camping restriction zone”, but after that you are allowed to wild camp again and there are some nice spots. Hi Nadine, thanks for your reply! Solo-hiking is my number one choice to be honest and happy to hear you enjoyed is so much! Did you find it a challening hike? How did you deal with the high altitude and possible altitude sickness?

Thanks for the nice reply – and ignore my late response!
At the moment I am leaning towards the Jade 38 (also because I like the dark blue colour, haha), but I was just wondering. What’s the difference with the Facet? Except for the size (35 vs. 38L)? Is it only the weight differences or are there any other important things to consider?

I want to hike the Annapurna Circuit this year in October/November. So far, I am still in doubt whether I am going solo, with someone, or with an organized tour. The first might be more difficult with the new set Nepalese regulations regarding solo hikers, but I am hearing mixed stories about this.
