We are Lena and Beni, a couple from Switzerland, and we have a great adventure ahead of us: after a year of backpacking in Southeast Asia, we’ll be starting our journey home on foot in February 2026. We’ll be hiking from Antalya to Bern over a period of 6-8 months. Despite our limited trekking experience, we want to show that great adventures are possible for ordinary people. Together, we’ve done several short multi-day hut-to-hut hikes in the Swiss Alps, the jungles of Laos, and the mountains of China – which we both thoroughly enjoyed and which whetted our appetite for more. Lena also hiked the Via Francigena from Lausanne to Rome a few years ago. We’re setting off soon and are incredibly excited.
