First of all, this one is not for the weak. Our first day we skipped the first hut and that was our first mistake! It’s only 2 hours to this hut, but if you skip it, you will walk for 9 hours instead with probably as much as 1700m ascending and loads…

Hi all I have been using Farpointe gear for over a year now and I highly recommended it . The sunhoodys are absolutely fantastic, made from a merino blend mix .

The government of Madeira is currently creating a new trail from Machico to Ribeira da Janela (very similar with the MIUT), about 93 Km long , 64.6 km are existing trails, and 28.4 km new trails connecting to those existing trails. Hi all,

After having walked the camino about 10 years ago, through the Via Podiensis and the Camino Frances, I’ll go back this summer!

Leaving in about 2 weeks from now, we’ll combine walking the Pyrenees on the GR10, then the camino del norte. Should take about 3.5 months, can’t wait to be back on the camino!
